Check-up appointments

It’s important that your always bring your removable braces with you for the check-up appointment! During the orthodontic treatment, there’s a check-up every four to six weeks.

An active treatment may last from one to three-and-a-half years (depending on things including getting adult teeth, growth, the seriousness of the abnormality, and the patient’s cooperation and motivation).

During the retention phase (the period after the permanent braces are removed or the removable braces have to be worn ever less frequently), the time between check-ups steadily increases. This retention period lasts from a year to eighteen months. During this time, we check that the final result is and remains stable. If necessary and wanted, further minor corrections may be made.
